You can either dominate the Mediterranean, or race to Trade Tech 7 and pick up Quest For The New World to dominate half the world. Try to get a Personal Union with Aragon and form Spain when you inherit, and convert to an Empire for a free Holy War CB on every Muslim and Pagan (usually you only get Holy War CB on infidel neighbors).
